Herman Chairs

Where: Latvia
Employees: 150
Established in: 1993

When this company was founded in the beginning of the 90’s, it was only made up of a handful of craftspeople working to produce custom-made furniture to be distributed locally. Today, this 100%-Latvian owned company has 150 employees and 9000m2 of factory space. With nearly 52% of the country made up of forests, Latvia has a long history of wood export and carpentry. Specialising in curved wooden furniture, our supplier uses CNC machines and high frequency heating presses to produce the chairs and backrests for our Herman chairs. The raw material to produce oak and ash veneer is sourced mostly from Croatia, while birch comes from Latvia and Sweden.

Herman Chairs

Herman chair is elegant, well designed and comfortable enough to hold you for hours and hours. The lightweight design and the welcoming look make it suitable for both dining room tables at home and large conference facilities. The seat has an oval shape that rises a little on the edges; the arms on the backrest provide a good support and the frame holding the backrest allows you to comfortably rock a little back and forth. The chairs are easily stacked and as a nice added detail the angles of the wooden backrests are designed so the chairs can be hung on the table – making room to dust and clean the floors underneath. Herman chair is designed by Herman Studio and produced by ferm LIVING.
